So I ordered some tickets for a gig off Ticketmaster online. There’s two bands playing at this venue on the night, and it turns out that they’re two separate gigs and the band I want to see – is not the band I end up getting tickets for.
So after receiving the tickets I’m a bit bummed, but I try calling up Ticketmaster customer service anyway to see if they can help me out. Long story short, they agree to refund me for the wrong band, (and didn’t even ask me for the wrong tix back, so if I was more shady I would totally be offloading them for a profit) and even follow up with a handwritten card in the mail a few days later:
Hello Mitchell We are sorry to hear you will not able to attend your event, however we were glad that we could give you a refund. It was a pleasure assisting you and we hope you will continue utilizing Ticketmaster for your future entertainment needs. Thank you again,

While I pity poor Loretta being locked in some dark cubicle and having to write out handwritten notes to dissatisfied customers – that is good customer service. Thanks Ticketmaster 🙂
